In this easy and delicious recipe, we’ll show you how to make a juicy grilled hot dog. With crusty wheat bread, spicy sauerkraut and our delicious Helvetic Barbeque Original Sauce, this hot dog is a real treat.
Ingredients:
- 4 wheat rolls
- 4 hot dog sausages
- 200 g sauerkraut
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Helvetic Barbeque Original Sauce
- Helvetic Barbeque Salt-n-Pepper Rub
Instruction:
- Preheat the grill and set it to 200 degrees.
- Drain the sauerkraut and set aside.
- In a cast iron pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until golden brown and soft. Add the sauerkraut and saute for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with Helvetic Barbeque Salt-n-Pepper Rub.
- Place the hot dog sausages on the grill and grill for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until well cooked and with a nice grill mark.
- Cut the wheat rolls in half and toast them briefly on the grill until they are slightly crispy.
- Place the grilled sausages in the sliced wheat rolls.
- Spoon the sauerkraut mixture generously over the sausages.
- Pour the delicious Helvetic Barbeque Original Sauce over the hot dog.
- Serve the hot dog and enjoy!
