Today we have a particularly tasty breakfast or brunch recipe for you that you can prepare directly on the smoker. Add extra spice to your plate with our popular Salt ‘n Pepper Rub. Start with grilled eggs in bread with bacon – perfect for a cozy start to the day!
Ingredients:
- 4 thick slices of bread
- 4 fresh eggs
- 8 slices of crispy bacon
- 2 tbsp Helvetic Barbeque “Salt ‘n Pepper Rub”
- Butter for spreading
Preparation:
1. preparation of the smoker:
Preheat your smoker to medium heat (approx. 175°C) and make sure that the grill plate or pan is ready.
2. preparation of the ingredients:
Take the slices of bread and cut a hole in the middle of each one – big enough to fit an egg in. Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with butter and place them on the griddle.
3. prepare the eggs and bacon:
Place the bacon around the slices of bread on the griddle. Then break an egg into each hole in the slices of bread and generously sprinkle our “Salt ‘n Pepper Rub” over the eggs and bacon.
4. grill:
Close the lid of the smoker and let everything cook for about 10-15 minutes. The eggs should have the desired consistency and the bacon should be crispy. Make sure to check regularly so that nothing burns.
5. serving:
Take the slices of bread with the eggs and bacon from the smoker. Serve everything hot and enjoy a deliciously hearty breakfast!
Tip:
For even more flavor, you can sprinkle some cheese on top just before the eggs are ready.
